I love being a mommy!

This little guy...Dylan, has been staying at my parents house so he doesn't "ruff house" with our two bigger dogs since he has stitches...well he decided he was coming home today. I heard scratching at the front door, opened it, and found Dylan. I guess he's smarter than we thought! He found his way from my parents house to his house! THANK GOD he didn't encounter a car on the way!!! Oh and by the way, his tumor was just a tumor of the oil glands and didn't end up being cancerous! WOO HOO!!!

How precious is this! My two little guys takin' a nap together on the couch! I'm sure we'll have many years of these same pictures!!!

Mr. Crafty-man (my husband) carved an "Its a Boy" and "Emerson Gray" pumpkin last night!!! Turned out awesome!!!

We can't complain! Our first few days with Emerson have been amazing! He's sleeping great, eating great, and his big brother I think loves the heck outta him! We couldn't be happier!

Emerson Gray has arrived!

Emerson Gray has arrived! We're so excited to welcome our new lil' man into this world! He arrived 10/22/08 @ 4:41pm weighing 7lbs 10oz and 20 inches long! My labor was totally bearable! They broke my water at noon and I had him basically 4 1/2 hrs later! It was wonderful it wasn't terribly long! I will say for a little while I was in pain but it was quick and my lover boy for the minute...(the anesthesiologist) came with my WONDERFUL epidural! Oh man I must say...they are the best! And I was literally out of pain besides pressure for the rest of the labor and delivery! No complaints! Ben was a great coach, and my mom and ben's mom were also great! Enjoy a couple of pictures...I'm limited on my blogging time for a while!

Wednesday is the BIG DAY!

Well, today is the last day for us having just one child to take care of! Emerson will be here sometime tommorow Wednesday the 22nd! We can hardly wait! I am still totally nesting so I'm going to make this blog short because I have a TON of things to do before our EARLY morning induction! Keep us all in your prayers please! Will post more after the boy arrives!
ps...Dylans surgery went great, he's just a little groggy and out of it tonight! He has a lot of stitches and is on major pain meds but again he did great! Now, let's just pray the results come back negative!!!

Say a lil' prayer...

Hi everyone! Just a little note askin' for everyone to say a little prayer for my dog baby Dylan today! He's having a mass removed in his leg that has potential to be cancer. He's only 5 so we're just praying for the best no matter what! (would be if he were 20 but still, he's still a baby) :) So anyways if you could keep him in your thoughts and prayers that everything goes well today and that it turns out to be nothing! Thanks and I'll keep everyone updated on lil' Dylan!

Looks like Emerson will arrive on Wednesday!

This picture was right before we went into the hospital on Tuesday night! My contraction's were 2 minutes apart and reaaallly painful at times, they checked me and I was only 1 1/2 to 2 cm. Nothing had changed from Monday's doctor appt. So we walked for an hour, and still no change...so we could have stayed and walked more but decided that because it was 1:30am we'd just go home. So, had our party last night, went great and was so much fun. Around 11 or so my mom Natalie and I were chatting and I just was having some terrible sharp contractions! When I got home around midnight I just kept having them and my stomach was pointing completly towards the ground and I had dropped...Nat and my mom had said they thought I had too but when I asked Ben he was like OH MY GOSH...I mean we thought Emerson was coming last night! I decided to lay down and sure enough I fell asleep and nothing woke me up in the night! (little stinker) So I got up and walked this morning with my mom and Hayden, we walked for about an hour and my contractions were really strong. I called the doctor, they said that because it was Friday and they were in the office they thought I should come in and be checked, make sure my water hadn't started to break. So we went in, I am still 2cm, more thinned out at least but again still a stinkin' 2. They said that I was totally favorable of going into labor on my own but that because I was so close to my due date they thought I might want to see the end in site and scheduled an induction on Wed at 10am! THANK THE GOOD LORD! So, unless this boy decides to come on his own, we'll get to meet him on Wednesday! She said that all the pain I've been feeling is from him being so active! Dr. Graber laughed because she said he was just all over the place...greeeaaat...we've got another wild man on our hands! haha...just wanted to give everyone an update! Emerson will be making his arrival just in time to meet some out of town family the weekend of the 24th and the 25th too! So exciting!!!

Well, we're still waiting on our lil' boy to arrive, and since it seemed he wanted to arrive last night, but of course did not, he now needs to wait until Friday or at least until 10 or 11 tommorow evening...this mama has plans tommorow night at 6:30pm! I kinda told everyone in a previous post that I started with a new company, Taste of Home Entertaining, and my mom is hosting a party tommorow night at her house with a theme of "Wine and Cheese"! It is going to be so much fun! Great food, our closest friends...including Ali (she is home from Switzerland for the week), Brandi (from Indy), and Natalie (Michigan) as well as all of our friends from here! I mean seriously, the boy needs to wait now! Check out the Taste of Home website if you get a chance! Chipmunk...

If I had a gun right now...you know what I would do??? Shoot the freakin' chipmunk that won't stop chirping outside our kitchen window! I mean all I can hear ALL DAY is this freakin' chipmunk...he must be trying to take my mind off of being annoyed about not having this baby and concentrate on HIM! UHHH! I didn't even realize chipmunks made this freakin' annoying sound!

On other notes, I have my weekly checkup tommorow morning with Dr. Morgan...wish I didn't end up having to keep it but I did soooo we'll see what he says tommorow...Tuesday night there is a full moon though?!?!? Hmmm anyone have any stories of this truely working??? You always hear that the OB floor is full and busy on full moon nights but it is reeeaaallly true??? Pray for a baby by the 14th for us k? I have somewhere to be on the 16th and preferably I am able to show off our new bundle of joy...WISHFUL THINKING I KNOW! :)

ps...Hayden now counts to 10 and says ABCD! We're sooo proud of him!

37 weeks and 1cm

Don't mind my 5 chins, I swear Ben always manages to get me lookin' like an idiot...here's my "baby" until lil' Emerson decides to make his apperance..Hayden's going to seem HUGE!

Today at the doctor she checked me, I was dilated to 1cm, and she could already feel the "suture" in Emerson's head...I was like "WHAT IS THAT" and it's basically the "soft spot" that doesn't close on a newborns head for a while...so she said he was in perfect position because she doesn't normally get to feel that! So, tonight I've been having contractions a lot more frequently, but then they'll stop for a while, some bad, some more like braxton hicks...so we'll see. She said it could be this week or it could be next...let's all pray for sooner than later...K? :) Until then, I'll be back to the doctor Monday if nothing happens!

Favorite Fall Drink...

So, like Jaime, my absolute FAVORITE fall drink is Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte! OH MY GOSH! If you haven't tried one...do so asap! But, considering I spend WAY too much money on ordering them I decided to just go inside and buy some decaf expresso to have at home. So currently I am totally into that at home...but it usually gets too cold by the time I'm actually ready to drink it because my son is needing me for something...so today I decided to turn it into my own pumpkin pie iced latte at home...it was yummy! Also, check out my new expresso cups...LOVE THEM! They're from Taste of Home Entertaining (the new company I just started with)

So yes, this is a big piece of margarine...NO I do not put that on a plate for Hayden for breakfast, it was his "dip" for his muffin at breakfast...he just decided he'd skip the muffin part and eat the dip. He would do this everyday/night if we'd let him because he just LOOOOVVVEEES it! Ohh sorry, I just gagged. :)
